Suspended between ambient soundscapes and experimental techno, the name reflects this duality — a figure caught between extremes:
Binar, the pull between two poles;
Dhal, a fictional word suggesting both king and burden.

Talos is a five-track ambient album at the intersection of dark and nostalgic. Written and performed live during July–August 2025 on the island of Crete, the work draws inspiration from the mythological automaton Talos, who once patrolled the island’s coasts watching out for friend and foe. At the core of each track lies an excerpt from personal field recordings collected across my journeys, an impression patched onto the automaton’s inner world. Fragments of memory are isolated, cycled, and transformed into immersive soundscapes, bound together by sentimental drones, subtle deep percussion, and fragments of synthetic texture.
