Accumulating layers of information, relentless trends, and conflicting narratives give rise to conditions such as narcissism, psychological manipulation, and the erosion of identity within an illusory pursuit of perfection and belonging. The work ultimately unfolds into a reflection on Time as an intimate spectrum — from an inner, fluid, and non-binary temporality that belongs to the self, to an opposing outer time, structured and imposed by the rhythms of digital society.
Using recordings of real social media browsing as his primary compositional material, Emmanouel Rovithis transforms the audible gesture of scrolling into a dramaturgical ground for physical elaboration. Snippets of social media activity are triggered, looped, and processed in real time, generating dense soundscapes from fragments, a process reflecting the cognitive conditions of digital culture — a human meta-state shaped by hyper-information.
