Hyper Kafka: Rooms of Memory

The installation features selected works of hypertext literature created by students of the Pedagogical and Didactical Sufficiency Program of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts. These works interpret and reflect upon themes, motifs, nuances and ambiguities of Kafka’s literary universe through a network of virtual spaces connected by non-linear pathways, inviting visitors to actively explore a web of narratives.

Drawing upon two of his core interests —research and interactive installation design— Emmanouel Rovithis, together with colleagues and students, developed a novel interactive learning environment exploring the notions of “hyper-thinking” and “hyper-acting” through the lens of web art and multimedia technologies embedded in contemporary educational practice.
