Notes, ambiences, textures, and soundscapes were created entirely by editing, filtering, and stretching the recorded words. After presenting the sonified poems to the audience, the group performed a collaborative improvisation with everyday resonant objects, suggesting that music and poetry can arise from the materials and moments of everyday life.
With the audio works focusing entirely on human speech as raw material, Emmanouel Rovithis integrated his Embodied Sound Dramaturgy into his teaching practice for the first time, introducing students to the metamorphosis of vocal recordings into autonomous sonic entities operating on both acoustic and symbolic levels.
