Seeking to explore notions of time and rhythm from kinetic, mathematical, and poetic perspectives, the work develops a choreographic language that is methodically systematized to guide the performers’ movements. Durations, directions, steps, and hand combinations are precisely scored, raising the question of freedom within predetermined patterns and searching for a space between the inner and outer modes of being where freedom might emerge.
Further elaborating his Embodied Sound Dramaturgy technique, Emmanouel Rovithis treats the performers’ voices as sonic entities moving through acoustic space; oscillating between confrontation and agreement, shaping conceptual polarities that open a field of kinetic possibilities.
